Youth Fundraiser Tee - FOR FOXX SAKE

At 11 months old, Foxx was diagnosed with Stage IV Wilms tumour.

Within days, our lives had reorganized themselves around hospital rooms, chemotherapy, scans and the daily - sometimes moment to moment work of maintaining hope through many unknowns. 

This shirt began with a photograph.

Only days after Foxx’s diagnosis, we stepped outside the Stollery for the first time since being admitted. I cried when the sun touched my face. I was terrified and heartbroken, but I lifted my camera and tried to make an image of Foxx that still felt full of light, and full of him as a baby. Not a boy with cancer. 

Because that is what you do as a parent. You turn heartbreak into beauty. Through this photo, and now this t-shirt I am trying to make the intangible tangible.

The front reads:

FOR FOXX SAKE.

The back carries the photograph I made that day. 

When you wear this shirt, you carry a piece of his story. You stand with Foxx, our family, and every family whose life has been changed by childhood cancer.

Where the proceeds go

From every shirt sold, 50% of net proceeds will be donated to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation.

The remaining net proceeds will help support families through the realities of childhood cancer treatment.
